Richard Neutra, A.I.A, 1947-1948 Sitting amongst its peers by Charles & Ray Eames, Eero Saarinen and Rodney Walker, the Bailey House remains timeless and exciting. In keeping with the Case Study program ideals the house was designed to be modest from the street yet elegant in its simplicity in the interior. Neutra, one of the more established and well known of the Case Study architects designed the house to blend with its surrounding nature. Marmol Radziner executed a sensitive restoration having elevated the house into the current century by seamlessly blending the new with the original. The house opens to the expansive rear gardens through the large sliding glass doors providing for a quintessential Southern California lifestyle.
